Front Desk Receptionist (Fitness Center)

Overview

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome members and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
  • Manage check-ins, memberships, and class bookings
  • Handle incoming calls, emails, and general enquiries
  • Process payments, memberships, and daily transactions
  • Maintain accurate client records and update systems regularly
  • Support gym staff with scheduling and coordination of classes
  • Ensure reception and front desk areas are clean, organised, and presentable
  • Promote gym services, packages, and wellness offerings
  • Assist with basic administrative duties and reporting
  • Provide excellent customer service and resolve client queries efficiently

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a receptionist, front desk, or customer service role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer literacy (MS Office, booking systems, or POS systems)
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and customer-focused

Advantageous

  • Experience working in a gym, fitness centre, or wellness environment
  • Knowledge of booking or membership management systems
  • Sales experience or ability to upsell memberships and services
  • First aid certification or basic health & fitness knowledge
